Truv is committed to ensuring that data is stored securely and only for as long as necessary to fulfill the intended purpose. Here's how we manage retrieved data:
1. Data Storage
-
Cloud-Based Storage: Truv stores data in secure, cloud-based infrastructure primarily using Amazon Web Services (AWS). Data is stored in multiple zones to ensure redundancy and availability, so in case of a failure in one region, the data can be restored quickly from another region. This backup process ensures that data is always available and protected.
-
Sensitive Data Encryption: All data is encrypted both in transit and at rest. For sensitive data, additional application-based encryption is applied to further safeguard it.
2. Data Caching
-
No Long-Term Caching: Truv does not cache data long-term. Once the data is retrieved from the relevant provider (e.g., payroll, financial institution), it is immediately processed for the request and, once the transaction is completed, the data is not cached for prolonged periods unless necessary for business purposes.
-
Temporary Caching for Processing: Any caching that occurs is temporary and only used for the immediate processing of a request. This helps improve performance by minimizing repeated requests for the same data while ensuring the information is up-to-date and accurate.
- Truv offers customizable retention policies for enterprise clients, allowing you to specify how long we store your data. If necessary, data can also be deleted automatically or manually via an API.
