How to Configure Document Mapping in Encompass
Document Mapping in Encompass allows lenders to customize how Truv-generated documents are routed within their eFolder structure. This ensures that specific documents such as paystubs, W-2s, or borrower reports are delivered to the appropriate folders for streamlined processing and review.
Step-by-Step Instructions
I. Access the Document Mapping Configuration

Log in to Encompass Web as an administrator.

Navigate to the Admin tab at the top of the screen.

In the left-hand navigation, select Services.

Under Services Management, ensure that Truv is already configured (refer to the Truv Encompass Admin User Guide if needed).

Within the Truv Service tile, select Document Mapping.
II. Add Document Mappings Manually

On the left side of the page, under Document Types, enter the appropriate Truv document type.

On the right side, under eFolder Document Folder, enter the name of the eFolder where this document should be routed.

If either value does not already exist, it will be created automatically.

Click Add Another to configure additional document mappings.

Once all mappings are added, click Save in the bottom-right corner to finalize your configuration.

Note: Document Type names must match the values listed above exactly. eFolder names can be customized.
III. Upload Document Mappings Using a Template (Optional)

Download the document mapping template from within Encompass.

In Column A, enter the Truv Document Types (e.g.,
paystub,invoice). -
In Column B, enter the target eFolder names.

Save the file as a
.csv. -
Upload the file back into Encompass and click Save to import the mappings.
IV. Route All Documents to the Unassigned eFolder (Optional)
If preferred, you may choose to have all Truv documents delivered to the Unassigned eFolder for manual routing later.
