How to Request and Download Bank Statements for Verification of Assets (VOA)

When completing a Verification of Assets (VOA) report, Truv can retrieve official monthly bank statement PDFs alongside your standard asset data.

Because bank statement delivery requires specific account mapping and security configurations, this feature must be enabled by Truv Support before you can generate them.

Prerequisites for Bank Statement Delivery

To ensure bank statement PDFs can be successfully fetched and attached to your reports, your Truv account and verification orders must meet the following criteria:

  • Product Type: Statements are only available for Verification of Assets (VOA) orders.
  • Use Case: Your organization must be utilizing Truv for a Mortgage lending use case. Non-mortgage asset verifications do not include statement downloads.
  • Financial Institution Support: Statement fetching is supported primarily for major financial institutions connected through our core data networks.
How to Enable and Request Bank Statements

If your team requires historical bank statement PDFs to be included in your asset reports, follow these steps to get set up:

1. Contact Truv Support

There is no self-service toggle or download button available in the dashboard by default. To turn this feature on, an account administrator from your team must reach out directly to support@truv.com.

2. Specify the Number of Months Required

In your request to Support, please specify how many months of historical bank statements you need Truv to retrieve per account (for example: 2 months of recent statements). Our team will update your configuration to match your exact underwriting requirements.

3. Accessing the Statements

Once our support team configures your account, Truv will automatically attempt to pull the requested number of statement PDFs whenever a borrower completes a VOA order.

When successfully retrieved from the data provider, these statement PDFs are delivered directly to your Encompass eFolder.

⚠️ Note on Availability: Please keep in mind that statement availability depends entirely on the data provider and financial institution. Because of this, statement PDFs may not always be available for every single financial institution connection.
